Job Description:
Role and Responsibilities
Contractor will provide language support services for U.S. troops worldwide. Selected candidates will provide translation, interpretation, and related language services to U.S. service and support personnel engaged in humanitarian, peacekeeping, contingency, and combat operations around the globe. Arabic (Iraqi Dialect) Linguist Category II Linguist will provide interpretation, transcription, and translation services in support of ongoing and new U.S. operations and mission requirements in Iraq. Arabic (Iraqi Dialect) Linguist-CAT II Duties and
Responsibilities: Conduct accurate and consecutive translation, transcription, and interpretation from Arabic/Iraqi dialect into English; Translate various syntax and expressions to include colloquial and slang phrases from English to Arabic/Iraqi dialect and vice versa; Work and travel in austere environments; Provide advice on cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, situations, and documents; Accurately scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents; Other related task as assigned.

Qualifications Required

Must have a proficiency in Arabic (Iraqi Dialect) and English speaking, writing, and interpretation at the Level 3/3 of Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR)-Native proficiency preferred
Extensive knowledge of Iraqi culture with previous work in the region-Native familiarity preferred
Experience interpreting and translating Arabic (Iraqi Dialect) into English
Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in standard dialect and vocabulary rarely requiring the need for paraphrasing or explanation
Familiarity with the local culture and customs with the ability to operate within the local populace
Must be a native of Iraq
Must be a U.S. Citizen

- Medical screening via (up to $1000) - employee will reimburse BFG's affiliate company via payroll deductions of $250 over the first four pay periods

Candidate covers the cost for:
- Travel cost from home of record to Fort Meade - BFG's Affiliate company will reimburse employee after 60 days on contract
- Immunizations and medical/dental screening costs over $1000 - not reimbursed by BFG's Affiliate company.
