## Description
The BEST hiring the BEST! L-3 National Security Solutions has an opportunity for an Intermediate IA Analyst - Network Reviewer and Vulnerability Scanner to support the federal Government conducting network security compliance inspections at military installations around the US. This position is contingent upon contract award. In this role under general technical supervision, you will perform network monitoring, analysis and reporting in accordance with the provisions of DoD Directive 8570.01-M. These skills and their associated duties may include the following
Examine potential security violations, incidents, malicious activity and attacks to determine if policy has been breached, assess impact, preserve artifacts, enter and track events/incidents
Support incident escalation and assess probable damages, identify damage control and remediation, and assist in developing courses of action
Supervise the installation, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and administration of IA hardware and software systems and recommend, schedule, and perform IA system repairs, systems administration, and maintenance
Analyze patterns of non compliance or attacks and recommend appropriate actions to minimize security risks and insider threat
Configure, optimize, and test network devices
Diagnose and resolve IA problems in response to reported incidents
Enhance rule sets to identify or block sources or potential sources of malicious traffic
Support the design and execution of exercise scenarios
Identify alternative functional IA security strategies to address organizational security concerns
Review security safeguards to determine that security concerns identified in approved policies, plans, and doctrine have been fully addressed
Develop and implement programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and follow IA policies and procedures.
Experience with DoD Cyber/Security policies, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Security Checklists, NIST policies, Cross Domain Solutions, JVAP, CCRI, SRR, IARR, specialized in specific operating systems - Windows, UNIX, or iOS, Wireless systems, Servers, DNS, HBSS, ACAS, Retina Scans, VMS, risk management, DIACAP, SCAP, and Intrusion analyst experience
Implement, and monitor policies and procedures reflecting the legislative intent of applicable laws and regulations.
Cyber intelligence analyst for network defense operations detects and reports on security related alerts from local security appliances and from information and intelligence provided by outside agencies.
Provide upper management with clear and understandable picture of real time and future threats to network information systems
Recommend, schedule, and perform IA system repairs, systems administration, and maintenance
Conduct formal training.
Conduct Penetration Tests and Vulnerability and Wireless Vulnerability scans TRAVEL IS OVER 80%. - CONUS AND OCONUS - this work can be done from anywhere in the US with the ability to travel a minimum of 80%
## Qualifications
Requirements:
TS/SCI security clearance - current and active
CISSP
CEH
Security +
CCNA or Network +
All certifications listed above must be obtained prior to start of contract
Must obtain DISA Level I SSP or SA certification within one week after start
Must obtain DISA Level II SSP or SA certification within 90 days after start
Must obtain reviewer credentials within 30 days after start
Must have internet access at home
4 year College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.
