Seeking Java Programmers/Developers to join our team in suport of Intelligence
community
customer.
Task Description:
The position requires a skilled software developer to participate in a small team environment in support of the customer's mission with new software enhancements and maintenance tasks. The software developer will utilize their development and engineering expertise to keep existing code functional, while developing new features for java software packages to meet sprint deliveries. The position requires a blend of software technical development competence, leadership expertise, and strong communications skills with the emphasis on java design and development competency. Flexibility and agility to quickly adjust to planned or unplanned changes in course direction are paramount for this position.
Bachelor's degree in
computer
science, mathematics or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of five (5) years direct java design and development experience using eclipse IDE in a Windows environment.
Proven experience using a combination of java, extJS, Spring MVC, and SQL is required for this position.
Experience with java and j2E-based APIs, technologies, and tools is preferred (JS/JSP, JDBC, JAXB, JPA, tomcat, maven, junit, Hudson, Jenkins, REST, Linux, and VMWare).
Proven software development experience working and delivering in a agile-development environment is required.
Ability to multi-task between development roles and test/integration support roles is required.
Ability to interface with customer and other developers to refine requirements, decompose requirements into implementable tasks, develop business logic in java code, generate junit tests, and package bug fixes and/or new java-based features into a release for an agile-based delivery is a must.
Candidate needs to show proficiency and prior experience in developing java solutions across all software component areas -- server-side, middle-tier and user interface.
