Storeroom Clerk is primarily responsible for management of subsistence and supplies in the Dining Facility.
Personnel must be familiar with procedural receiving, storage and accountability requirements.
This position requires individuals who are hardworking and committed to providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills, in addition to an ability to multitask and prioritize.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years cafeteria storeroom/warehouse operations experience.
Working knowledge of receiving, inspecting, verifying, storing and issuing perishable, semi-perishable and non-perishable subsistence, plus paper products, chemicals and small wares.
Understanding of inventory management systems, processes, valuation and internal controls.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be a high school or GED graduate.
Required Skills:
Must be able to pass criminal background check.
Must be detailed oriented.
Must be able to read, interpret, write and comprehend information.
Must be able to use several software programs (training will be provided).
Perform moderate mathematical calculations especially weights, measures and conversions.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, and occasionally lift or move objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
Positions require ability and willingness to continually work while standing and/or walking with frequent stooping, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling.
Ensure cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
Accept delivery of inventory.
Count and confirm inventory.
Inspect inventory for damage and faults.
Communicate errors to relevant parties.
Mark and label subsistence/stock.
Store inventory in accessible manner.
