Sodexo Government Services is looking for a Resource Food Operations Manager 3 to join our team providing support at multiple secure government locations in Northern Virginia and Maryland.
These locations offer a variety of services to include traditional cafes, catering, and national brands; including Starbucks, Subway, Dunkin, Qdoba, Panda Express, etc.
Candidates should be passionate, highly motivated, and enjoy client and customer interaction.
The ability to offer strategic leadership and vision are a must for this growing operation! This is a temporary position and can range in length up to 12 months.
The ideal candidate will have to be an US citizen and be able to successfully complete a federal background check.
(To include a Polygraph) Our ideal candidate will be innovative, keeping services fresh and updated based on current trends.
We are looking for candidates who will:
have oversight of day-to-day dining operations; ensure that we provide high quality food service; provide support to multiple locations within a geographical location; implement Sodexo systems and programs, and oversee training of staff; continuously evaluates service to ensure client satisfaction; create a positive environment; and ensure Sodexo Standards are met.
The ideal candidate will have:
strong financial skills; a work history demonstrating strong leadership, hospitality skills and the ability to work collaboratively; the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; and knowledge of compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.

Position
Summary:
Provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service exempt and non-exempt level staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client.
Provides supervision for food services at account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company.
Implements business practices in order to uphold company mission, values and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement.
Key Duties Establishes a safe work environment Assumes General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in their absence Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and regulatory agencies Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Basic Management Experience - 3 years Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
