Network Security Engineer
Overview:
By Light is seeking a Network Security Engineer for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Cybersecurity Network Operations (CyberNetOps) Design Deploy Sustain (CNODDS) contract.
The team will provide lifecycle services that ID6 or successors use to architect, develop, integrate, deploy, secure, operationalize, sustain, document, patch, monitor, optimize and evolve CyberNetOps capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and analyst support for Palo Alto and Cisco products.
Provide advanced security monitoring including event, alert, and incident evaluation and determine assistance on escalated issuesEstablish and maintain network performance by building firewall configurations, connections and troubleshooting network problemsConduct incident/event investigation and analysisTest security products and systems to detect security weaknessesIdentify and create solutions to improve network security postureFacilitate root cause analysis of system issues to minimize impact and future occurrencesKeep management appropriately informed of progress and issuesProactively identify areas for improvement in process and regularly assess documentation and reports for accuracy and improvement Required Experience/
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering discipline or equivalent experienceRequires one of the following IAT Level II certifications:
CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security
CE, SSCP, CASP
CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIHSolid experience managing firewallsExperience in computer network security to include multiple network security zones, subnetting, VRFs, and VLANsAbility to respond to help desk requests and diagnose issues quicklyMust have and be able to continue excellent interaction with clientsProficiency in industry standard desktop applications, especially Microsoft Visio, Office, and specialized networking toolsSelf-starter with curious mindset and desire to learn new skillsSuperior written and verbal communications skills Preferred Experience/
Qualifications:
Experience managing Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls in an enterprise environmentPCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA Cyber Ops certifications are a plusExperience with DISA STIG process Special Requirements/Security Clearance:
Top Secret clearance requiredBy Light does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters; vaccination requirements and testing are subject to the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements; testing is at the cost of the employee.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
